Plate number only missing when associated color-design elements are present: This is known on the 1957 8¢ Magsaysay, and on miscut line pairs of the Transportation coils where the plate number below is sliced off but there is no corresponding plate number above. The latter is unusual but not rare. The former is listed in the catalog but unpriced.
