Feast of the Rose Garlands. This painting is sometimes referred to as
Feast of the Rosary.
Stamps were issued by Czechoslovakia, as the painting currently resides in the National Gallery in Prag, as well
as by Germany and Berlin, as Dürer is generally recognized as the most important German painter of the
Northern Renaissance.
This presentation consists of three parts. Part 1, the current page, shows the items issued by Czechoslovakia.

Part 1: Items Issued by Czechoslovakia
Czechoslovakia Scott 2743 shows at top a label that depicts the complete painting. Details are depicted on the two stamps at the bottom. The left stamp shows Mary with the Infant Jesus on her lap. The stamp at the right depicts the lute player in front of the knees of Mary. The painting hangs in the National Gallery in Prague.
Czechoslovakia Scott 1783 shows the middle right side of the painting with Dürer's self-portrait. The FDC is shown on the right.
Czechoslovakia Scott 1555 shows the central figures of the painting with Mary placing a rose garland crown on the head of German Emperor Frederick III and the Child crowning Pope Julius II. The FDC is shown on the right.
This is a black print of Czechoslovakia Scott 1555. It was used as admission ticket to the Praga 1968, to celebrate the FIP Day.
